Valeria, 16-year-old – Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital
Valeria’s life abruptly changed when she got diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in July 2023. Her young life full of dreams and aspirations, currently faces an uphill battle against cancer. Her single mother was able to make ends meet cleaning homes until Valeria’s diagnosis.
Currently, mother has been consumed with Valeria’s medical care and has not been able to work regularly. Valeria’s mom had no choice but to max out all her credit cards to keep a roof over their heads. Even though Valeria faces a long road to recovery, she continues to push forward with a smile, and is thriving in school.
