Story
Javaris, 16 Y/O, Jackson Memorial Hospital
Javaris was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2010 just before he became a teenager. As this teen dreams of becoming a singer, the last four years he has been fighting many inoperable tumors that have spread from his brain to his spine. The chemotherapy helped but ultimately a life-saving stem cell transplant was required in 2012. In May of this year, Javaris relapsed… more brain tumors were discovered behind his ears forcing Javaris to endure more chemotherapy. Javari’s grandmother has been his only guardian most of his life and has had little opportunity to work the past four years due to Javaris’ healthcare demands. Together they struggle to fight this aggressive cancer and maintain basic human needs such as food and shelter.
On 7/25/14 ABC-Local Channel 10 covered Javaris singing at Holtz Children’s Hospital, Jackson Memorial.

Needs
Javaris and his grandmother need immediate help to pay for food, rent and transportation. Family’s only car broke down so they rely on public transportation from their home in Pompano Beach (Broward County) to Hospital in Miami (Dade County).
