The Foundation is committed to providing emergency financial relief to help families pay for everyday needs such as rent, food, electricity, medical, car and gas for transportation so families can focus on what is most important, their child’s survival.

  • Child fighting cancer comes from a low-income family currently experiencing financial hardship.

  • Most cases involve a single parent household and family qualifies for government assistance programs such as Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income.
  • Child must reside in the state of Florida.
  • Child must be under 18 years of age (0-17 years old).
  • Child / Family must be referred by their social worker and complete our (3) page Financial Assistance Application Form with their social worker. Applications can be emailed / mailed to JJCCF by the social worker.
  • At present JJCCF is serving patients of the following (13) partner hospitals and (2) partner clinics: Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital at Broward Health, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital at Memorial, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Holtz Children’s Hospital at Jackson, alex’s place at Sylvester, Miami Cancer Institute (Baptist Health), The Children’s Hospital at Palms West, Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, Nemours Children’s Hospital, Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (FL residents), MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital (FL residents), and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (FL residents).

Grocery or gas gift cards may also be requested. A JJCCF staff or Family Visiting Volunteer will then schedule a meeting with the parent and child usually at the hospital where treatment is provided (if a meeting is not possible, a financial assistance package will be mailed to child’s home address).  The meeting will include taking a photograph of the child for JJCCF’s Annual Collage of the faces behind our mission (qualifying photo of choice can also be provided).
