Hope for 4 Children – Summer End News

ADVOCACY PROGRAM – Stories of Brian, Zoe, Jordan & Elizabeth

Help Eli keep her home as she fights Leukemia. Read more…

JJCCF Friend, as we approach September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we share the stories of (4) children fighting the toughest battle of their lives. Your compassion can be the light for Brian, Zoe, Jordan and Eli as their families face temporary financial hardships due to a pediatric cancer diagnosis. Each of their families has received JJCCF’s emergency financial assistance, but they need more. Through our Advocacy Program (last resort program) we reach out to our community, aiming to raise upwards of $1,000 for each child. Your contribution will ensure these families have food and housing, but most important, they will know you care and they are not alone.

Any amount you can give is valued and appreciated. Sacrificing a cup of coffee may seem insignificant, but I guarantee it is not!

With gratitude,

Sandra Muvdi, MBA

Brian, 7-year-old, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital

Since age 2 Brian has been battling Leukemia with many challenges including pneumonia, encephalitis and full body paralysis. Sadly, Brian lost most of his vision due to swelling of the brain and his cancer came back. Despite all the hardships encountered, Brian continues to be a happy child who loves to play with toys and his younger sister. Monthly rent in Palm Beach County is most pressing for the family of (5) during this temporary time of need.

Mother’s quote: “We have suffered a lot with everything we have gone through as a family. Brian’s cancer has brought so much sorrow and emotional pain to me and my family. Read more…

This champ has completed salvage chemotherapy, 14 fractions of radiation and just recently a Stem Cell Transplant . His Grandmother means the world to him and is his full time caregiver.

Grandmother’s quote: “I’ve been raising him on my own since he was 2 years old. I couldn’t have asked for a bigger blessing—he is my inspiration. I had to leave my job to care for Jordan, and it’s been a very difficult time for us.” Read more…

Elizabeth, 9-year-old, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital

Since Elizabeth was diagnosed with Leukemia December 2023, her mother had to quit her job to care for her full time. Her father’s income as a handyman is insufficient to make ends meet for the family of (4).

Mother’s quote: “This has affected us financially because we have very little income to pay our mortgage, car, phones, insurance, gas and credit cards. At this moment my husband is the only provider supporting us.” Read more…
