Veronica
Rocio M. – Assisted mother of Veronica (7 y/o, Osteosarcoma – bone cancer)
“When a family has to go through a difficult situation like having a child with cancer, one feels that the world is ending, and there aren’t enough minutes to understand why life challenges us with this situation. We had the beautiful experience of being taken by the hand and told, “everything will be fine; we are here for you.” In brief words, this is what the Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation did for us. Their support is a blessing beyond the financial help we received while facing multiple crises. JJCCF not only gave us financial assistance for medical expenses related to Veronica’s wheelchair, but most importantly they offered us emotional support. The sincere hug, the words of encouragement and unconditional love were healing. Fast forward 7 years, my daughter who fought Osteosarcoma on her left leg, is now totally cancer free thanks to Sandra (JJCCF Founder), her team and her beautiful work for so many families who have fought the battle. As a mother, I will be eternally grateful to JJCCF, and I will never forget the love that they gave us.”
