“The Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation (JJCCF) has been godsend in assisting our families with children stricken by cancer. Everyone has had a family member or knows someone dealing with this disease. As pediatric oncology social workers, we’ve learned that this disease doesn’t discriminate. It affects children from families of all cultures and socioeconomic statuses. It hits hardest when a family is enduring a financial hardship at the same time.
We have been so blessed to have the Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation rescue so many of our families from drowning in bills while battling childhood cancer. The help the Foundation provides allows the parents of our children to focus more on the situation at hand-the treatment aspect of the disease. To have families with impending bills receive immediate assistance from JJCCF, allows them to return to a sense of normalcy after being affected by things going haywire.
We especially appreciate the speed with which our families receive assistance. It is refreshing to know that our families can count on the Foundation providing them with the financial assistance needed to pay their outstanding bills on time. We have also developed a relationship with JJCCF by attending some of their social functions and getting to know some of their outstanding volunteers who put smiles on our families’ faces and take tremendous weight off our shoulders.”
