Fall News šŸŽƒ Hope for 3 Children

Share your ā¤ļø with Eli, Zayda & Fabian

This fall help turn darkness into hope. While many of us are enjoying the beauty of fall, pumpkin patches, and family gatherings, three children and their families are facing a reality no parent ever imagines: they are fighting cancer.

This fall, you can be part of their story.

Please open your heart and help surround Eli, Zayda, and Fabian with the love, support, and hope they need. Each family has already received emergency financial assistance from JJCCF, but their needs remain dire. They have been referred to our Advocacy Program, last financial resort, which reaches out to our community to help raise additional support for each child.

Your donation will help provide groceries, rent, and other basic necessities, giving these families greater stability so they can focus on what matters most—their child’s fight against cancer.

At JJCCF, our purpose is to bridge the gap between financially secure and disadvantaged families, giving every child a more equitable opportunity to beat cancer.

Together, we can turn darkness into hope for Eli, Zayda, and Fabian.

With heartfelt gratitude for your consideration and support,

Sandra Muvdi, MBA

President/CEO

Eli, 13-year-old – Nicklaus Children’s at Broward Health

Eli is battling bone cancer and preparing for major surgery to remove the tumors in his leg, followed with a prosthetic. His pregnant mother is his full-time caregiver while also caring for his younger brother. The family was recently homeless, living in a hotel without a vehicle and relying on public transit to get Eli to the hospital.

Thanks to the generous collaborative support of the Live Like Tom Foundation, the family has moved into a safe and stable place to call home during this difficult journey. The family now needs help paying their monthly rent so Eli can remain in a secure environment while he undergoes treatment.

Hospital Social Worker shares: ā€œAny support available would greatly help alleviate some of the financial and emotional burdens associated with caring for a child with a life-threatening diagnosis and allow his family to focus their resources on Eli’s ongoing care and the well-being of the family.ā€.ā€ Read more…

Zayda, 4-year-old – Alex’s Place at Sylvester

Sweet little Zayda is battling leukemia. She comes from a loving family of 8 who are doing everything they can to support her during her cancer battle. After successfully enduring a transplant, the family needs help paying their car notes in order to maintain reliable transportation for Zayda’s ongoing treatment.

Parents share: “We have six children: three toddlers, a newborn, a 10-year-old, and a teenager. Zayda has undergone a transplant, increasing both physical and emotional pressures. Balancing frequent hospital visits, homeschooling, and transitions-like moving and managing previous crises such as living in one moldy environment after another-has been overwhelming.ā€ Read more…

Fabian, 15-year-old – Nicklaus Children’s Hospital

While this resilient teen fights relapse bone cancer, his family recently moved from Hialeah to Port St. Lucie to be closer to extended family for support. The financial strains on his single mom have been overwhelming as she works as many hours as possible while caring for Fabian’s medical needs and her younger son. Mom’s greatest concern is being able to keep up with their rent.

Mother’s quote: ā€œFabian is incredibly brave, but he cannot fight this battle alone. Every dollar raised will go directly toward our relocation, travel, and dietary support costs, ensuring he keeps uninterrupted access to his oncology team while surrounded by family love.ā€œ Read more…
