Dear Supporters of Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation,
I am writing to share the story of our patient, Fabian. Fabian was diagnosed with High Grade Osteosarcoma in November 2023. Upon diagnosis, he underwent Chemotherapy and limb salvage surgery. After many months of admissions, follow ups, and complications, he completed treatment in June 2024.
Unfortunately, in May 2025, scans confirmed that Fabian had relapsed. The rare and aggressive nature of his cancer has made it incredibly challenging for the medical team to help Fabian reach remission once more. He remains in active treatment; however, scans have continued to confirm disease progression, most recently in August 2025, June 2026 and July 2026. As a result of this, Fabian has been enrolled in the Ex-Vivo Study since limited standard treatment plans remain.
This has been a particularly challenging time for Fabian and his family, both emotionally and financially. His mother has been his greatest advocate and source of support. Alongside the medical team, his mother has been seeking options for treatment support, including Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, which is not covered by the insurance. Unfortunately, this therapy is very costly, and the family cannot cover the expenses from it along with the family’s rent and other financial responsibilities. Fabian and his family are seeking your assistance and support. They need help with covering their basic needs and expenses, including the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapies. I know they will greatly appreciate any assistance that is offered.
